Intro
Recently, while browsing online, I found a font I quite liked, so I looked up how to change it. Turns out, it wasn’t as impressive in practice.
Method One
In the bottom left, hit Manage -> Settings (or use CTRL+,). Once in settings, find Editor: Font Family.
Just change the default Consolas, 'Courier New', monospace to the font you want.
Method Two
Hit Ctrl + Shift + P -> type settings.json -> select Preferences: Open Settings (JSON) to open the settings.json file. Then, just add "editor.fontFamily": "Your Font Here" inside the {} and save.
Separate Fonts for Chinese and English
You can see VS Code’s default fonts are three, separated by ,,: Consolas, 'Courier New', monospace. To set different fonts for English and Chinese, simply assign an English font to the first spot and a Chinese font to the second (English Font, Chinese Font). For instance, SF NS Mono, '楷体'.
