Introduction

OBS launched on Steam on March 22, 2022. While it makes updates easier, having to open Steam every time you want to use it is a bit of a hassle.

Steps

Right-click OBS Studio in your Steam library, then select Manage > Browse local files.

In File Explorer, navigate to the path bin/64bit or bin/32bit and find obs64 or obs32.

You can launch OBS directly by clicking this file. You might want to pin it to your Start menu or create a desktop shortcut.

Right-click the file, select “Create shortcut,” and move it to your desktop.
