Intro
Checking your course schedule on the school’s academic system isn’t convenient. Plus, third-party apps come with security risks and way too many ads. So, I figured I’d import my course schedule directly into a calendar. I went with Outlook Calendar for seamless sync across iOS, Windows, and Android.
Setup
- A computer
- An Android phone
- Chrome browser installed on your computer: Official Link
- WakeUp Course Schedule app installed on your phone: Official Link
Step One: Export Your Course Schedule
- Open the academic system’s website in Chrome and navigate to the course schedule page.
- Export the HTML file.
First, copy the following code:

Next, add a bookmark. On Windows, use Ctrl + D.
After hitting the shortcut, click the ‘More’ button to edit your new bookmark. You can change its name and URL. Give it a memorable name (like ‘WakeUp Export Course Schedule’), then paste the copied code into the URL field! Save it.
Finally, click the bookmark you just created. Your browser will then automatically download a ‘教务.html’ file (this is what you’ll use next).
Step Two: Import to WakeUp Course Schedule
- Send the file you exported in the previous step to your phone.
- Import the course schedule into WakeUp Course Schedule.
On your phone, open WakeUp Course Schedule. Tap ‘Import New Schedule’ (the second icon from the top right), then select ‘Import from HTML file’.
Under ‘Select School/Academic System Type’, pick ‘Shuwei Academic System (Easy Import)’. No need to select a specific school. After choosing the file, tap the bottom-right corner.
Once imported, make sure to set the correct semester start date or current week number.
Step Three: Import to Calendar
In WakeUp Course Schedule, tap the third icon from the top right to export. Select ‘Export as ICS (for calendar use)’.
On Android, locate the file in your file manager, tap it, and open with your calendar app.
For iOS, email the file as an attachment to an email account linked to your phone. Then just tap the attachment to import.
